DELTA Airlines says it is has grounded flights after experiencing an unspecified “nationwide systems outage”.
While the airline declined to comment immediately, tweets to its customers confirmed that the problems affected departing flights everywhere.

A typical response to Delta’s customers complaining about their service was: “Our systems are down everywhere. Hopefully it won’t be much longer.”
Delta Airlines’s only current Scottish service is a non-stop flight from Edinburgh to New York.
The flight, which is due to depart at 1.10pm today, is currently running on schedule.
