Step forward Kilwinning Rangers defender Robert Boyd who drew comparisons with the former Manchester United star last weekend after smashing home a 50 yard wonder goal against Largs Thistle.
The goal divided the junior football community – was it a fluke? Boyd’s own boss Chris Strain certainly thought so.

Our online poll had a clear winner with 73 per cent of voters backing Boyd compared to a paltry 27 per cent for Mr Posh Spice.
The result is the perfect pick-me-up for Boyd and the Buffs ahead of today’s Ardagh Glass League Cup trip to Merksworth Park to play Dalry.
They followed the 2-2 draw at Largs with a 2-0 home defeat to Kilbirnie in midweek, making it vital that they pick up all three points this afternoon.
Boss Strain said: “To be honest, we haven’t really played particularly well yet but I am very much feeling enthusiastic about what lies ahead. We needed to freshen things up on the park and I think the new boys are a good fit for us.
“They still have to get used to my methods and standards and I say that with a wry smile on my face because I know I can be tough on them. They seem receptive to what we’re trying to do here though.”
