Police appeal as Mercedes is stolen following a housebreaking in Broxburn

Another luxury car has been stolen from a house in West Lothian.

Police are appealing for witnesses after a home in Badger Park, Broxburn was raided by thieves who stole the keys to a white Mercedes C250 before making off with the car.

It comes just a week after a Lexus and a Mercedes were stolen from Jardine Place in Bathgate.

The latest incident happened at around 1am this morning (Wednesday, August 17) and officers have urged residents to be on the lookout for the car with the registration SL16 0XD.

Officers say that the last sighting of the car was at around 2am travelling west on the M8.

Inquiries into the matter are now being carried out by officers and they are urging anyone who has information relevant to the ongoing investigation to come forward.

Constable Craig Leckie based in Livingston said: “I want to hear from anyone who may have saw any suspicious persons in the area of Badger Park during the early hours of Wednesday.

“Similarly, anyone who has seen the stolen Mercedes or has information on its whereabouts is asked to come forward immediately.”

Those with information can contact police on 101 or alternatively a report can be made anonymously through the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
