WONDERKID Oliver Burke has become the most expensive Scottish player ever after Red Bull Leipzig made a stunning £15million swoop.
The Bundesliga new boys have agreed a deal for the Nottingham Forest winger who has been compared to Real Madrid and Wales superstar Gareth Bale.
Scots starlet Burke, 19, is understood to have been in Germany today tying up his shock move and is set to sign a contract until 2021.
The deal will be a huge blow to a number of English top-flight clubs who are set to miss out on one of the most exciting talents in British football.
Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal,Tottenham and Sunderland are among the clubs who were all keen on Burke.

They are understood have rated the pacy and powerful winger at around £8m earlier this summer.
At that stage Championship Forest weren’t prepared to do business for anything less than £10m.
But Burke’s price tag has continued to rise on the back of a string of eye-catching performances this season.
And ambitious RB Leipzig blew their rivals out of the water with an offer that was too good for Forest to turn down.
Record Sport understands RB Leipzig have fended off late attempts from a number of stunned English clubs to try and hijack the deal today.

Burke has also had a number of agents across the continent keen to snap up his services and Germany’s leading firm SportsTotal are understood to have recommended him to RB Leipzig.
Burke made his Forest debut two years ago and then racked up 21 appearances last season plus another two for Scotland , scoring twice.

This season he already has four goals in just seven games, including one against Leeds yesterday.
As well as English sides, Burke has also been watched by some of Europe’s biggest clubs including Barcelona and Bayern Munich.
