GLASGOW band Admiral Fallow, theatre maker Cora Bissett and writer Alan Bissett are among the names taking part in the 10th Scottish Mental Health Arts and Film Festival.
Falkirk writer Alan Bissett’s play about the life of Pink Floyd frontman Syd Barrett and a live soundtrack performance by The Phantom Band are two of the main attractions which play out across 17 council areas in Scotland.
A programme of over 300 events will be announced today, with the festival kicking off on World Mental Health Day, 10 October.
Lee Knifton, Head of the Mental Health Foundation, Scotland, said: “We’re delighted to be able to announce such a strong, diverse and vibrant programme. Over the past decade, we’ve worked with hundreds of artists and organisations across Scotland to challenge stigma, raise awareness and encourage creative responses to mental health.”
