Cheryl’s mum, Joan Callaghan, has been spotted in Mothercare stocking up on items that are essential for a comfortable pregnancy.
As rumours about Cheryl and beau Liam Payne and a potential pregnancy continue, the pictures have caused a storm on social media among fans of the pair as speculation heats up.
With Cheryl AWOL from public appearances for months and Liam posting cryptic updates to his social media accounts, many are sensing there could be a big announcement coming soon.
And now Joan, 57, has been spotted in the high street maternity favourite making purchases that are usually associated with pregancy.
In one shot, Joan is handling a specialist pregnancy pillow, designed to help women sleep as their bump is starting to get bigger.
However despite the mounting evidence that Cheryl could be in the club, many fans leapt to Joan’s defence, pointing out that she has a large family and she could be shopping for anyone.
Others expressed concern at the invasion of her privacy.

The latest development comes after Cheryl’s PR company posted a fresh picture of her on a set during filming which showed Cheryl from the shoulders up and wearing a baggy jumper.
And before that Liam set Twitter alight by changing his Twitter bio to read ‘the luckiest man in the world’ – a move that eagle-eyed 1D fans were quick to take as a sign of impending news.
Cheryl, 33 and Liam, 23, got together in February 2016 after the break up of Cheryl’s marriage to French restauranter Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini, whom she married after a whirlwind romance in 2014.
