A major power cut hit an Ayrshire village on Tuesday morning, temporarily leaving hundreds without access to electricity.
Social media posts show the majority of the village was without power from around 10.30am until 11.30am.
Residents reported alarms ringing out while parents of Coylton Primary School pupils received a text advising emergency crews were in attendance.
A text message sent out to parents said: “Major power cut in Coylton area. Emergency response teams on site.
“Parents unable to contact school. Please visit if emergency.”
