Eddlewood teenager Alana Brown has bravely adopted a brand new look – all in aid of charity.
The 13-year-old decided to have her long hair specially cut for Little Princess Trust, a charity which provides real hair wigs for children suffering hair loss.
And not only did Alana, a pupil at Hamilton Grammar, opt to have 19 inches of her hair cut off as a donation, she has raised almost £900 for the Little Princess Trust in sponsorship in the process.

The Trust asks for donations of hair with a minimum length of seven inches. Donations are then sent to a manufacturer in China to be converted into wigs suitable for girls and boys who have experienced hair loss.
It can take five to seven donations of hair to complete a single wig.
More information on the Trust can be found at www.littleprincesses.org.uk.
