FORMER Manchester United starlet Mads Timm has claimed Sir Alex Ferguson branded him a “f****** idiot” for owning a flashy sports car.
Timm has admitted to trying to keep his expensive Porsche a secret from the legendary Scot, reports the Daily Mirror .
Writing in his autobiography “Red Devil” the Dane, who played for United between 2002 and 2006, confessed he used to park his car alongside the training-ground staff in the hope Ferguson did not see what he was driving.
But he was rumbled when David Beckham asked for permission to arrive to training in a helicopter on a special occasion and vehicles had to be moved.

Timm said: “Brian McClair got hold of me and said Ferguson wanted to see me in his office.
“I had a Porsche, and I was well aware that the boss cared very little about that, if you played well.
“For the same reason I had parked helpfully at the entrance, where the ordinary workers usually were.
“Around the same time, David Beckham had a downturn in form, and had ventured to seek permission to arrive for training in a helicopter.

“Ferguson flipped out. Now he had discovered my Porsche.
“‘F*****g idiot,’ he called me on that occasion, and then I took a taxi to training for a period.”
Timm also recalled one of his more memorable reprimands from Ferguson.
While walking around the training ground with some of his youth team pals, Timm greeted Ferguson as “Alex”.
But the manager did not take too kindly to that and allegedly responded: “I’m not your friend, I’m your f****** boss!”
