A drink driver was caught on the A77 while seven times over the limit.
Daniel Kennedy admitted the drink driving charge near the Ayr junction at Maybole Road on August 27 after he was nabbed by police.
Sheriff Desmond Leslie fined him £1000 and banned him four years last week.
A booze test on Kennedy showed a reading of 150 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath – only 22 microgrammes is allowed.
The 67-year-old first offender, of Mossblown, pled guilty.
He appeared in the dock at Ayr Sheriff Court last week.
