SOULEYMANE COULIBALY and Steven Smith scored magical goals to maintain Kilmarnock’s revival and blow-away the off-field gloom at Rugby Park.
Lee Clark’s team were simply outstanding as they obliterated Hearts ’ hopes of going second in the Ladbrokes Premiership with a brilliant performance.
Pre-match, the Killie fans had to suffer more turmoil with main-sponsors QTS threatening to pull the plug on their backing if fans’ hate-figure Michael Johnson stayed on the club’s board.
But for 90 minutes, they were able to ignore the off-field issues and savour a magnificent on-field show.
Killie turned in, arguably, their best-ever performance under their Geordie gaffer.Hungry, determined and decisive, Clark’s men never gave Hearts a look-in for the majority of the contest.
3 THINGS WE LEARNED
1. SOUL IS COUL

Souleymane Coulibaly’s agent is going to have some DVD to show interested suitors when the day comes for him to leave Kilmarnock. The goal here was another special after his stunners against Hamilton, Dundee and Celtic.
2. LEE-SY DOES IT

Clark is building something at Rugby Park and the display was as good as anything Killie have produced under his management.
3. CREATING PROBLEMS

Hearts can have serious problems in the creativity ranks when Jamie Walker joins Sam Nicholson on the sidelines. The Capital club lacked guile until the former came on.
