“With the help from Councillor McKendrick, North Lanarkshire Council and our own coaches we’ve now had the pavillion refurbished.
“The team have done so well in recent years as they reached the third round of the Scottish Cup and won the annual Holytown tournament which is a great achievement.
“Now we have great facilities and we would like to thank the coaches for volunteering in the refurbishment which goes above and beyond coaching duties. The boys have also got new strips and tracksuits thanks to our sponsors APL Construction – without them the boys would have nothing.”
Now the Cleland youngsters can enjoy their football in better surroundings and Councillor Robert McKendrick is impressed by the new facility.
He said: “I’m very grateful for all of the work that has been done at the pavilion by NLLeisure and the coaches of Cleland Boys’ Club.
“What a difference there is inside and outside of the building. I am sure this will be a great help to a lot of the young people in the village.”
