Recreation of Thrones star Ian McElhinney is poised to swap Westeros for Waterford as he joins EastEnders’s Kat and Alfie Moon of their spin-off drama collection Redwater, the BBC has stated.
Set in a fictional village in Eire, the six-half journey has been created by outgoing government producer Dominic Treadwell-Collins.
Shane Richie and Jessie Wallace, Alfie and Kat respectively, will seem alongside Downton Abbey’s Maria Doyle Kennedy, Misplaced’s Fionnula Flanagan and Belfast-born McElhinney.
