David Hopkin says he believes December will be a crucial month for his side’s title chances.
The Lions have six league games during the festive month, which starts off with tricky away ties against Albion Rovers, Stranraer and Stenhousemuir in the coming fortnight.
They then face Airdrieonians at home before welcoming Queen’s Park to West Lothian on Christmas Eve and travelling to East Fife a week later.

But the head coach is confident his players will do all they can to ensure they’re top of the table entering 2017.
He said: “We have very difficult games this month and we want to make sure that we put as many points on the board as we can.
“If we can come out of the other end of December with plenty of points on the board and without any injuries, then I’ll be happy.
“But we’re not the only club who will be thinking that. The top of the league is very tight and there are teams who will be doing all they can to pick up points and keep themselves up at that end of the table.”

As for Saturday, he added: “We know Saturday is going to be a tough game. They made it hard for us last time and they have a lot of good players.
“Playing away might suit us a bit better as the home team will have to come out and play and try to put on a show for their fans and that might work in our favour.”
