Kids from across Irvine will perform their take on a Disney classic this weekend.
The cast of Aladdin have been working hard after the show was almost axed a few weeks ago after a major sponsor pulled out.
But the Break a Leg Drama production, set for Irvine Royal Academy, was saved by businesses in the town.
The panto takes place on Saturday, December 10, and Sunday, December 11, at 2pm.
Sylvia Mallinson, who runs Break A Leg, said: “We’d now love to see the community back the pantomime by coming to see it at Irvine Royal Academy on December 10 and 11.
“We’re giving away 150 tickets to groups on each day.
“If there are any groups – kinship carers, Brownies, Boys Brigade, anything like that – if they would like to come and claim some tickets, we’re open to that.”
The festive spirit was alive and well in Irvine and when Cunninghame Housing Association’s chief executive heard that the group were struggling, the firm stumped up the full £1000 needed for the show to go on.
The group were also given £100 from Vanilla Joes, £150 from Truss Dental and £300 from Cash for Kids.
Tickets are on sale to the general public – adults are £6, kids £4, and a family ticket £15 (2 adults, 2 kids).
