Police have launched a major investigation after two people were found dead in a flat in Dundee.
Cops descended on Rosefield Street, in the city’s West End, on Monday after the man and woman were found in a property within a tenement block there.
Detectives said the deaths were being treated as “unexplained” and that post-mortem examinations were to be held.
The pair have yet to be formally identified. The man found in the flat has been named locally as Ronnie Kidd.
Police will not release their names until next of kin are informed.
This morning a uniformed officer was standing guard at the entrance to the building.
A police mobile command unit was parked outside and forensic examiners were seen entering the block as the investigation got under way.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said inquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the deaths.
