A tree of remembrance to commemorate loved ones has been set-up in Irvine.
Residents can tie a yellow ribbon around the tree to remember those that are departed or far away, after it was set up this week.
Based at the town’s Hallmark Hotel, the tree will raise funds for Mcmillan Cancer nurses and has been organised by Irvine Seagate Rotary.
People from the town can contribute to the fundraising effort over the festive period.
In January the collected ribbons will be taken for a blessing in the Old Parish Church.
Provost Ian Clarkson officially unveiled the tree at the hotel on Tuesday afternoon.
