Six drivers in the region were caught behind the wheel after drinking.
Police Scotland say they are “disappointed” to see the motorists ignoring previous warnings. The offences occurred between Friday, December 2, and Monday, December 12.
Officers carried out a total of 495 checks during that period.
Inspector Campbell Moffat , of the division’s road policing unit, said: “Despite all the publicity surrounding the dangers of drink driving and the recent launch of our festive campaign, it is disappointing to see that six people still took the decision to put themselves in danger.
“Others using our roads were also endangered by offenders getting behind the wheel of a vehicle after drinking.”
Mr Moffat reiterated that patrols will continue to be on the roads across the region, 24 hours a day, over the festive period.
