Former Rangers striker Kris Boyd caused a stir recently when he proclaimed that Ian Cathro would be a failure as the new Hearts boss.
The Kilmarnock frontman commented on the appointment of 30-year-old Cathro after the ex-Newcastle No.2 was handed his first managerial role in replacing Robbie Neilson at the start of December.
But joyous Hearts fans reckon Boyd will be eating some humble pie tonight as their side thrashed Killie 4-0 at Tynecastle – with the ex-Scotland forward subbed off in the second half – much to the Gorgie faithful’s amusement.
In the first half, a chant of “you’re getting f****d by a laptop” rang round the Tynecastle terraces in reference to his comments about Cathro being more accustomed to his laptop than managing players on the training pitch.
And the ribbing of Boyd continued on social media as Jam Tarts’ followers got stuck into the Rugby Park man.

Rachel McDonald, @_RachLM, chimed in: “Also Kris Boyd get that right round you. Absolute roaster. Fat, useless w****r done nothing all night.” Charming.

Though one tweeter had a go at Hearts fans. @ian_ianlyon commented: “Hearts fans are chanting “you’re getting f****d by a laptop” at Kris Boyd, this coming from the same fans who booed Cathro in his 2nd game.”
