Clyde boss Barry Ferguson admitted Clyde’s League Two title fight is over after they lost a seven-goal thriller to leaders Forfar on Boxing Day.
The Bully Wee led twice in Monday’s clash, with goals from Ewan McNeil, David Gormley and Peter MacDonald.
But late strikes from Jim Lister and David Cox won it for Forfar – who had netted earlier through Gavin Swankie and Martyn Fotheringham – to open up a 13-point gap over Clyde.
Ferguson said: “We had the game won but we had joke defending for the last two goals.
“We won’t win the league now. I can’t see Forfar losing four or five games, that isn’t going to happen.
“We shot ourselves in the foot. You can’t give a team like Forfar those chances and expect not to be punished.
“I am disappointed but on the other hand we have more than held our own against a very good side for most of the match.
“But there is still a lot of football to be played this season and we have still got a lot to play for.”

Forfar were ahead within 10 minutes when a Swankie shot sailed over John Gibson but Clyde gradually came into the game and were level on 20 minutes through a superb McNeill volley.
David Gormley put Clyde ahead in the 44th minute with a header. But were level soon after the break when Fotheringham netted on 51 minutes.
MacDonald converted from the spot for Clyde to re-take the lead after Gormley was fouled in the box.
However, their advantage lasted only 11 minutes before substitute Lister scored with a header after a cross from the left and Cox headed home in the last minute to give his team a dramatic win.
