New signing Jon Toral has gone straight into the Rangers starting line-up for today’s glamour friendly against RB Leipzig.
The Arsenal playmaker finalised a loan move to Ibrox just four days ago and will begin for Mark Warburton’s men against the surprise Bundesliga title challengers.
Fellow new boy Emerson Hyndman, who has moved to Ibrox on loan from Bournemouth, begins on the bench but is expected to feature at some point.
Toral is looking to use the six-month stint with Rangers to get his career back on track following a frustrating spell in Spain with Granada.
The 21-year-old could either start in the midfield beside Jason Holt and Andy Halliday or wide of a front three alongside Kenny Miller and Barrie McKay.
Scotland star Oliver Burke – who Leipzig shelled out £13m to sign from Nottingham Forest last summer – starts for the Germans.
