Pope Francis implored Europe on Saturday to answer the migrant disaster on its shores “in a means that’s worthy of our widespread humanity” – after which confirmed the best way by taking three Syrian households again to Italy with him.

In a press release, the Vatican stated Francis needed to “make a gesture of welcome” to the refugees, who have been in camps on the Greek island earlier than the settlement between the EU and Turkey to return migrants got here into impact on March 20.

On the port ceremony Francis thanked Greeks for welcoming in hundreds of refugees and for displaying solidarity and humanity towards the world’s most determined.

He stated “God will repay this generosity and that of different surrounding nations who from the start have welcomed with nice openness the massive variety of individuals pressured emigrate.”

The son of Italian immigrants to Argentina, Francis has made the plight of refugees, the poor and downtrodden the main target of his ministry as pope, denouncing the “globalization of indifference” that the world exhibits the much less lucky.
