A team of P7 pupils from Calside Primary in Dumfries represented the region on the BBC TV quiz programme “Top Class”.
Mya Meechan, Scott McCron, James Scriven and Emily Steele made up the team with Katie Kirkwood as reserve.
With their teachers Miss Lisa Brown and Mrs Louisa Gamble , they travelled to BBC Glasgow to take part in the quiz aimed at finding Britain’s smartest school.
Team captain Mya said: “It was amazing to see how a television programme is put together, but being in the quiz was quite stressful.”
The new series of Top Class will begin on CBBC next Wednesday at 5pm.
