A man who died in an fire early this morning was named locally as Scott Kerr.
The 32-year-old’s body was found in a top-floor flat in Leven, Fife.
Firefighters crews were called to the blaze at the corner of Waggon Road and Letham Terrace at 7.42am.
They broke in to discover Scott, who lived alone, dead.
A joint probe by Police Scotland and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service is under way and the property was cordoned off.
Forensic teams were seen entering the one-bedroom flat.
A resident, who didn’t want to be named, said: “He’s been living there for about a year now and seemed a nice lad.
“It’s really quite sad and hopefully the family can get the answers they need about why it started.”
