The husband of tragic Peaches Geldof has revealed he was “not surprised” when he found her dead of an accidental heroin overdose .
Thomas Cohen said his wife was “an amazing mother” and had built a life to try to “fill the hole” left by her drug problem.
But he added that the power of heroin had turned out to be “greater than life”.
“It’s horrible,” Thomas told German TV. “You’re filling your body with something that’s killing you.”
Peaches, 25, died at the family home in April 2014. Her mum Paula Yates had also lost her life to heroin 14 years earlier.
Thomas said caring for sons Astala and Phaedra helped him cope with his grief. He said he gave the boys their lunch about an hour after finding his wife’s body.
