A friendly older cat is looking for a new place to call home.
Maxwell is 10 this month and came to Cats Protection through no fault of his own. He is a big cat and is friendly, curious and he loves being with people.
A spokesperson fo West Lothian Cats Protection said: “He has the loudest purr and he lets you hear it at every opportunity. He is also fond of giving a headbutt or a rub on your face when you’re at his level.
“As Maxwell came to us a bit heavier than he should be, the vet has advised gradual weight loss with regular check ups and hopefully with exercise and portion control, his weight should be manageable.

“He would be suited to someone or a family who is at home regularly and can spend some time each day playing with him. He will also need to get out into a garden, so that he can stay at an ideal weight for his size.
“Please contact us on 01506 298107 or use the ‘Contact us’ form on the branch website www.cats.org.uk/west-lothian and a home visit can easily be arranged.
“We are having a rehoming day on Saturday, April 22, 1pm to 3pm at Newyearfield Farm Community Centre, Hawk Brae, Livingston. EH54 6AB, and all our cats ready for adoption will be there. Please come along and meet us.”
