Former SNP MP Natalie McGarry has collapsed in the tearoom at the House of Commons during Prime Minister’s Questions.
An ambulance was called to Westminster after the incident involving the MP, who now sits as an independent.
McGarry hit the headlines in September when the Glasgow East MP was charged with a number of offences in relation to money that allegedly went missing from two pro-independence groups.
Police had been called in the year previously after the Women for Independence group, co-founded by the former SNP MP, couldn’t account for over £30,000 of funds.
McGarry, who resigned the SNP whip and has sat as an independent since, maintains that there has been no wrongdoing on her part.
The 36-year-old looks likely to lose her seat in June’s General Election as she would have to stand as an independent with SNP councillor Rosa Zambonini one of those seeking to replace McGarry.
