The friends of a West Lothian man who died suddenly at the age of 34 are hoping to buy a memorial bench to mark the first anniversary of his death.
Stevie Henry, who was born in Linlithgow but grew up and lived in Bathgate, died suddenly on May 15 2016.
Now a group of his friends, including best pal Simon Scott, are hoping to raise £1000 so they can purchase a memorial bench where friends and family of Stevie can come to reflect on his life.
The friends will hold a concert with a raffle to help raise funds for the memorial at the Midnight Breakfast Club in Bathgate on May 5.

Tickets for the person cost £10 and any money left over will be donated to a charity chosen by Stevie’s parents.
Mr Scott said: “He was the kind of person who could walk into a cold dark room and instantly transform the atmosphere to bright warmth, just by introducing his charismatic presence.
“He dearly loved life and took pleasure from playing acoustic guitar and listening to music. His genuine love and concern for other people and very positive outlook on life truly made him a powerful and inspirational character.”
The group of friends have agreed the price to buy the memorial bench from the council and place it at the public green area on Marjoribanks Street in Bathgate.

Mr Scott said: “This is particularly apt since it is very close to where Stevie had lived and the central location is convenient for friends to visit for quiet contemplation on Stevie’s life.
“This endeavour would be a prominent reminder for the people of Bathgate, in the area where Stevie felt most comfort and enjoyment over the years.”
