An East Kilbride man has been charged with the murder of Spencer Borland.
David Shannon, 27, gave no plea of declaration when he appeared in private at Hamilton Sheriff Court this afternoon.
The case was continued for further examination and the accused was remanded in custody.
He is expected to appear back in the dock next week.
Police were called to a flat in Campbell Place in The Murray at around 5am yesterday where they discovered the body of Mr Borland, 41.
