The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service have been called to the former Royal Victoria Hospital in Edinburgh after flames were seen billowing from the building.
Emergency services received the call at 4.17pm on Monday afternoon, with six vehicles rushing to the scene at Craigleith Road in the west of the city to extinguish the flames.
A SFRS spokeswoman said: “We are currently in attendance at the former Royal Victoria Hospital.
“Six appliances are dealing with the incident in the roof area of the building.”
The incident is described as ongoing.
