Police are carrying out an investigation after the body of a man was spotted floating in a Renfrewshire river.
The discovery was made in the Black Cart Water near the A761 in Linwood.
Officers quickly cordoned off the area after arriving at the scene.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Police received a report at about 9.10pm on Thursday night of an unidentified male who had been found in water close to an area known locally as the Riverside Path.
“Enquiries are under way to establish the male’s identity whose death is being treated as unexplained.
“A post-mortem will be carried out to establish the cause of death.”
