Ariana Grande has released a touching statement pledging to return to Manchester.

The US pop star, who had just finished performing at the Manchester Arena when a terror attack took place killing 22 people on Monday night, released the statement on her Twitter page tonight.

She wrote: “There is nothing I can do to take the pain away that you are feeling or to make this better.

“However, I extend my hand and heart and everything I can possibly give to you and yours, should you want or need my help in any way.”

She went on to say that she will be returning to Manchester to spend time with her fans and hold a benefit concert to raise money for the victims and their families.

The singer also encouraged her fans not to be afraid and praised them for their “compassion, kindness, love, strength and oneness”.

She wrote: “We will not quit or operate in fear. We won’t let this divide us. We won’t let hate win.”

Grande, 23, said she was “broken” after her gig ended with suicide bomber Salman Abedi detonating an explosive device in the foyer of the 20,000 capacity venue, leaving 22 dead and injuring more than 100 others.

Ariana has now postponed all tour dates on her Dangerous Woman Tour until June 7.
