Ballot boxes have been delivered and counting is underway to determine who will represent West Dunbartonshire in the UK Parliament.
The final result is expected to be announced between 1am and 2am.
Tension is building at Clydebank Leisure centre as candidates await the results.
Martin Docherty who has held the seat since 2015 is up against newcomers – Tory candidate Penny Hutton, Lib Dem Rebecca Penderleith and Jean Anne Mitchell, Labour.
Docherty, took the seat with 30,198 votes – 14,171 more than Labour’s Gemma Doyle – in 2015.
There was a 74 percent turn out in that election.
