A Scots university are launching a new course based on TV show Game of Thrones .
The introduction to philosophy at Glasgow University next month examines key themes raised by the fantasy hit, which stars Lena Headey as Cersei Lannister.
Lecturer Dr John Donaldson, who previously ran a course about The Simpsons, is teaching Game of Thrones and Philosophy: Politics, Power and War. He said: “We will use important scenes from the show to introduce philosophy.

“We will look at political legitimacy and war theory.
“Game of Thrones is just incessant war so we will look at whether or not war is ever justified.”
The course runs on July 8 and 15.
