CAPE TOWN – Former Inexperienced Peace Worldwide Government Director, Kumi Naidoo, has described authorities’s funding in nuclear power as a “gross miscalculation which it may’t afford”.

Talking at an power convention in Cape City yesterday, Naidoo defined South Africa’s nuclear ambitions might set the nation again trillions of rand.

Naidoo added nuclear power shouldn’t be more likely to clear up the nation’s energy disaster.

“So, proper now the worth has elevated to $1.5 trillion. We’re dropping lots of alternative value right here. It is going to take us a lot longer to truly get the power that we’d like as a result of it’s too costly, in comparison with different types of power.”
