THE Duke of Edinburgh won’t attend commemorations marking the Battle of Jutland in Orkney following medical recommendation.

A press release from a Buckingham Palace spokeswoman stated: “Following physician’s recommendation, the Duke of Edinburgh has reluctantly determined to not attend the commemorations marking the Battle of Jutland tomorrow in Kirkwall and Hoy.

“The Princess Royal, who was already attending the occasions, will symbolize the Royal Household.”
