Channel 9’s The NRL Footy Present has been criticised for airing a clip on Thursday night time which viewers branded racist on social media.
In ‘Beau Is aware of’, a daily phase introduced by Beau Ryan, the retired footballer went to Wentworthville in Sydney’s west to talk to locals.
Halfway by way of the phase, as he’s strolling up the road accompanied by a digital camera, he sees an Asian lady kneeling right down to take a photograph of canine within the window of an Optometrist.
Strolling up behind her, he asks: “Choosing out which one for dinner?”
As the lady begins to show round, he grins on the digital camera and the studio viewers begins to groan and clap.
The lady stands up and Ryan asks “Oh, are they yours? Is that this [business] yours?”

A 9-second-lengthy video of the interplay was posted to The NRL Footy Present Twitter account at 9.17pm on Thursday night time.
Virtually instantly, commenters branded the clip “completely disgraceful”, “inappropriate”, “abhorrent” and “disappointing and racist”.
The tweet was left on Twitter for nearly an hour earlier than it was taken down.
Many commenters linked the clip to a joke made by Sam Thaiday after Origin I on Wednesday night time, that the sport had been “a bit like dropping your virginity”.
Earlier within the phase, Ryan makes one other joke a few man with Chinese language heritage.
Approaching two males on the street, he says Wentworthville has “a few totally different cultures” and asks their nationalities. The primary man responds that he’s Lebanese, and the second man responds he’s Chinese language.
