JOHANNESBURG – The Metropolis of Cape City’s water and sanitation division has assured residents alongside the Atlantic Seaboard that their consuming water is protected and poses no well being dangers.
Some residents have raised concern concerning the water being barely discoloured.
The Metropolis’s Farouk Robertson says the Atlantic Seaboard receives its water from the Kloof Nek Water Remedy Plant which began up once more earlier this week after being shut down.
The plant was closed because of the style and odour within the water, brought on by the vegetation within the river on Desk Mountain.
Robertson says the matter has been addressed.
“The matter was rectified and the water color normalised. We want to apologise for any inconvenience, however emphasise that the water is match for consumption.”
