Ayr’s BHS store will finally close its doors after 32 years this weekend.
The store, one of the biggest on the High Street, is one of 32 pulling down the shutters after its collapse.
Shoppers will have a chance to grab bargains this week, ahead of the final day on Sunday.
We broke the news about the closure last week and asked readers for their memories of the famous shop in the Auld Toun.
Angie Heaney said: “I did a work experience placement with school here. Worked in office, stock room and sales floor.

“Also used to enjoy a breakfast here with my Mum if we were in town. Sad times – I remember when I was wee my mum would go to Kilmarnock as it had a BHS & Ayr didn’t.”
Ishbel Alexander was one of many readers who has fond memories of the cafe, overlooking the River Ayr.
She said: “I liked BHS, good quality clothes for a reasonable price.
“Will miss it – enjoyed a cup of coffee watching the swans on the river with Bobby. Happy memories.”
Fiona Gillies said: “I used to work in the restaurant, had some fabulous Christmas dinners for the staff and everyone got on so well.
“Gutted the place is closing.”
The closure will leave another empty unit at the bottom of Ayr High Street, which has struggled in recent years.
Margaret McVey said: “It’s sad to see it go, I feel for the poor staff now with no job and another big empty shop now lying on our High Street.”
Matthew Keenan said: “Another empty shop in Ayr – just what it needs.”

And Russell Graham has an interesting piece of history from the store in his town-centre office.
He said: “My office at Burns House in Ayr has a bit of local BHS history attached to it. There are identical murals to the ones at the top of the BHS escalator in our reception area.
“They were gifted to the council by BHS to commemorate the opening of the store in Ayr 32 years ago.”
The keys will be turned in the lock for the last time at exactly 5pm on Sunday.
