Fire crews rushed to a blaze halfway up a high-rise block .
Emergency teams were called to Paisley’s Nethercraigs Court after smoke began billowing from the 15-storey building.
Families around the seventh landing were trapped inside, as firemen fought to extinguish the flames.
A woman living five floors above told how she was forced to remain in her home.

She explained: “It’s at number seven, I’m 12, but the smoke and that has risen.
“I’m not sure, I can’t go out house the smoke is bad.”
Neighbours told how they watched “four or five ambulances” head down Neilston Road minutes after the plumes were spotted.
Police were also called to investigate the outbreak around 5.10pm on Friday.
They confirmed none of the flats near Neilston Road were evacuated.
A man, 50, was arrested and is the subject of a report to the procurator fiscal in relation to drugs charges.
No injuries were sustained during the drama.
