Rangers fan who jumped safety barrier and ran onto Hampden pitch after semi last win over Celtic is fined

A RANGERS fan has been fined £200 for operating on to the pitch in the direction of the gamers on the finish of Sunday’s Scottish Cup semi last win over Celtic.

Dale Hill, 21, from Belfast, admitted leaving the north stand and operating on to the Hampden pitch.

He jumped over the safety barrier and in the direction of the Rangers gamers.

Procurator fiscal depute Stuart Fauré stated he was chased by stadium safety employees who have been helped by police, who apprehended him.

He was arrested and appeared from the custody at Glasgow Sheriff Courtroom the place he admitted breaching the peace.

Defence lawyer Mr Farrell stated it was Hill’s first Previous Agency recreation and he “didn’t get very far” on to the pitch.

Mr Farrell added: “He was heading within the path of the Rangers gamers, it was away from the Celtic supporters.”

Sheriff Paul Crozier fined him £200 and stated a soccer banning order was “not merited”.

Robert Wyatt, 31, from Castlemilk, Glasgow pled not responsible to operating on to the pitch after the match.

He appeared from custody and denied the breach of the peace cost.

A trial was set for October this yr and bail was granted with the particular circumstances that he does not enter Hampden Park or attend any regulated soccer match in Scotland.
