Generous youngsters handed over a bumper cheque to a children’s charity last week.
Pupils at Knoxland Primary have been busy collecting donations for Cash for Kids, which helps disadvantaged children in communities.
They raised the money during a busy month in December, including a Christmas jumper day and their school concert.
Helen Brown, headteacher of the Dumbarton school, said: “The children and their parents were very generous with their donations and we are delighted to have raised £1000 for Cash for Kids.
“We called December Cash for Kids month and tried to raise as much as we could,” she went on.
“It’s a fantastic local charity.”
