It’s been a tale of two tackles this week.
As we approach another battle between Celtic and Rangers two of the rivals’ big-hitters have sparked much debate with bone crunching challenges on the park.
First, Scott Brown was sent off for a lunge on Liam Boyce towards the end of the Hoops’ controversial 2-2 draw with Ross County.
Then Andy Halliday clattered into Celtic’s Patrick Roberts in the opening minutes at Hampden in last Sunday’s Scottish Cup semi final and received a booking.
Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers says Andy Halliday should’ve seen red for ‘reckless’ challenge
After Brown’s punishment was dished out Celtic launched an appeal to have it reduced to a booking – and today the SFA upheld the claim.
