WITH so much to see and do in Scotland, all we needed was a place where we could shout about it.
And now we have just that with the launch of Scotland’s Community.
Hosted on visitscotland.com, it’s a hub for locals and visitors to share experiences and tips, as well as find insider advice on the best places to visit.
VisitScotland are calling for Scots everywhere to register and get involved in Scotland’s Community, which is already full of great ideas and tips on the best things to see and do and brilliant places just waiting to be discovered.
Here, we share a few of the highlights from current community users…

Posting on Scotland’s Community in April, FunkyEllas_Travel shared their love for Dean Village, a quiet and historic area of our fair captial.
“As you drive into Edinburgh from the north, Dean Village is a beautiful little slice of peace and quiet with some really interesting buildings.”
Nearby bustling Princes Street, the streets of Dean Village lie along the banks of the Water of Leith. As the original centre for milling in the city, you’ll find Edinburgh’s past on the walls around you and the pavement beneath your feet. Look out for carved stone plaques showing the original use for the ancient buildings.
The Silver Sands of Morar

A trip to the Highlands encouraged forum user eilidh_cameron to share her experience with other Scotland’s Community contributers.
She shared: “I visited the Silver Sands of Morar on Saturday, I think it may be the most beautiful place I’ve visited in Scotland so far, the sand is beautifully white and the sea that beautiful blue.”
Stretching along the coast from Arisaig to Morar, the Silver Sands are a series of golden beaches, often described as the most stunning in Scotland. Looking out to the islands perched on the horizon, there’s no place more tranquil and relaxing to enjoy an afternoon.

With iconic venues such as the Barrowland Ballroom and new ultra-modern concert stadiums like the SSE Hydro scattered across the city, it’s no wonder Glasgow has always been a hub for live music.
Samantha_Grant shared her love for Scotland’s largest city, saying: “Glasgow is brilliant for live music.”
Whatever your taste in music, Glasgow has something for everyone.
